Classes

Classes are a great way to learn how to scrapbook, learn a new techniques and/or how to use new products. Students (except beginner classes) MUST bring their own basic tools to class, including a 12" trimmer, a pair of small scissors, scorer, adhesives, glue dots, pens, pencils, exacto knife with cutting mat and if available, chalks.

Check back around the 15^th of every month to see the new class listing for the following month.

On the day of your class, you will receive 10% off your purchases (except for future classes, crops and/or gift certificates).  All classes must be paid for at time of registration.  Most classes can be purchased as "kits to go" if you are unable to make the class.

Kids Classes this summer!
Kids Classes start on Tuesday, July 8^th from 2-3:30PM and will be held every Tuesday through August 12^th.  The classes are $15 per class per child.  Sign up for all 6 classes before July 1^st for the special price of $75*. Children ages 5-12 – class size is limited so register early!

Layout of the Month
Come the 3^rd Thursday of every month (except this month - please note that it is the second Thursday) and learn a new technique or learn how to use a new tool.  Each month will feature a different product or technique that Tori will show you. You will receive the “kit” for you to do on your own, come back the following month with the completed layout and receive the next month’s kit for FREE. If you can not make the next class, you must tell us prior to the meeting to receive your free kit.

Carefree Album 
This album is called "carefree" because we are using the New Heidi Swapp Carefree papers and because that is the feel of the album. No special theme - just carefree and happy. Use it for any occasion!!  Besides the wonderful new papers we will also use the glossy extras from the carefree line, along with Tim Holtz tickets, flowers, ribbons, chipboard, paint, glitter, and so much more. Oh- and we will be using the wonderful stadium album but not in the usual way. We will be using it vertically!! So come to this wonderful class and let yourself loose and be carefree and happy!!

Red, White & Blue, I Love You Tear Bear Layout
Learn how to make these adorable bears dressed up in our colors red, white & blue. This layout would be great for Parade pictures, 4th of July, New York City pictures, if you have anyone in the Service, or just taking pictures of your favorite guy/gal in good old American jeans! You will learn how to make paper piecing easier, creating tear bears and use stickles to add that extra glitter. You are sure to have a blast and maybe even leave with a little sparkle in your eye. Please bring embossing tool, water brush, glue stick, and glue dots in addition to normal supplies.

Summertime Fun Tear Bear Layout
Come and create this whimsical layout for your outdoor memories including eating outside, going on a picnic, going to a BBQ, or just enjoying the day in the sun. You will be making hand torn Panda's and these cute little ants that are stealing food out of the picnic basket.  You will also be basket weaving, working with wire and using chalk to make the food look much more detailed. Please bring embossing tool, water brush, glue stick, and glue dots in addition to normal supplies.

Sweet Treats Tear Bear Layout
It's Christmas in July! But if you are like me, you enjoy baking cookies all year long. This adorable layout will be perfect for your holiday bakers or all those cookies lovers out there.  Take the gingerbread man out and it can be used for any fun time baking.  Having a "Cookie Swap"? Then this layout will be perfect for those pictures too! Learn how to create these adorable tear bears, add sparkle with stickles and add a secret message in the jar. Boys Rule Layout & Card Class
Boys Rule and to prove it we are making a one page layout all about them so bring a 4x6 photo of your dudes, big or small!! You do not want to miss this class. You are going to learn how to make a creative photo mat that makes your title pop off the page! With leftovers from the layout, you will create a card that is great for ANY occasion.  Please bring brown and black ink, foam adhesive, and a white pen in addition to your normal class supplies.

Give the Gift of Thank You
In keeping with the spirit of Christmas in July, let's get ready for gift giving. Teachers, for instance, get many gifts from their students. What is the one thing they then need in return? You got it - Thank You Cards! This "Purse" is filled with 4 thank you cards. Naturally, you will be creating the purse as well as the cards along with their unique envelopes. You will also be making your own "gel" embellishments and using Rangers Embossing Tinsel. You will be able to make more at home with the template provided. Included in your kit is the versatile stamp "present" which can be used for Christmas, Birthday, Graduation, or any gift giving occasion, a small bottle of Rangers' Glossy Accents and enough embellishments to make a few more at home.

Snowman Under Construction Layout
Come and join Lucy in building this snowman in July with supplies from your kitchen, supplies you don't use any more (like wire) and some great supplies like Doodlebug's Sugarcoated paper.  We will dabble in acrylic paint, stickles and more. Too bad the snowman never totally gets put together!! So come in out of the heat and cool off with this fun class.

Let's Play Cards - Month 7
Do you need an excuse to play?? Create a funky and chunky "scrapbook" filled with techniques, inspirational tips, quotes, fun, and more.  Each month we will make between 5 & 8 cards (depends on the techniques we use for that month). It is hard to believe we are on month 7. This month promised to be a special one! We are going to be making a birthday card for ourselves and have a party!!   Card 2 we will be using different textures with a lot of surprises! Card 3 will be using the new revolution "long" platform. Card 4 will be from a transparency. Card 5 we will be making a flower and using a HS corner. Card 6 is TBD (we will not have time for more cards because of the party). For those just signing up, it’s not too late!!  We will be using the Heidi Swapp playing cards as a base for the cards, so bring your own deck and if you like, we can hold them for you so you don’t forget them!

Jewelry Making - Robin's Way!
Robin Beam has always taught just about any type of paper crafting class, but she always had a secret love of making jewelry.  With all of the wonderful jewelry making products out now to create jewelry with paper crafting supplies, Robin's ready to teach you how to make your own wearable art! Create beautiful pendants with Melt Art as well as some new and fun ways to create jewelry that looks complicated but isn't!  Also learn some basic jewelry making techniques for transforming your art into beautiful necklaces and brooches.  This intense 3 hour class will result in many ideas and projects for making many gifts for yourself and others. (Not required, but if you have any chain nose and round nose pliers, please bring to class!).

Glimmer Mist Mini Book
Come and play with some wonderful Glimmer Mist while making a cute mini book at the same time. You will receive 3 sample bottles of glimmer mist, a complete set of glimmer chips and a glimmer screen to use on the book but they are also yours to take home with you at the end of the class!  Some come let your creative juices flow and create the wonderful mini book at the same time. You asked for it, so here they are. You have a choice of making this card set in a Japanese theme or an Everyday theme. The case is Acrylic which you will be decorating as well as making 4 cards with envelopes. You can keep for yourself or this will also make a wonderful gift. For the Japanese theme, you will be using Mizuhiki Cord, Asian Coins and Rubber Stamps. For the Everyday theme you will also be using Mizuhiki Cord, assorted embellishments and Rubber Stamps. Alcohol Ink Cards & Tag   
Have you ever wanted to play with Alcohol Inks but did not have non porous paper around to use? I will show you how to use Alcohol Inks on regular cardstock and you will create 3 different items. Beginners Class

Quickutz Silhouette Technique & Layout Class
For current owners of the QK Silhouette or those who are interested in purchasing one - have you ever wondered what more you could be doing besides cutting basic fonts and downloaded shapes?  Join Cindy as she goes through some advance techniques in using the Silhouette including welding text, creating custom borders, creating custom cut-outs and silhouettes.  You will end up with a finished layout that incorporates all these techniques and more.  Please bring foam dots, Zig 2 way glue pen, white pen and chalks in addition to normal supplies.

By the Sea Tear Bear Layout
Let the sounds of the waves sweep you away as you create these adorable bears.  You will be using distressing techniques, glossy accents and adding a little sparkle to this layout with glitter but be sure to keep your eyes open so you don't miss the mermaid! This is a great layout for your pictures down the Jersey Shore, collecting seashells, a day at the beach or any tropical pictures.
